In blogging about my art, I hope to become better at it, and a better person at the same time. By this I mean that, of course practice makes perfect, but I also believe that by sharing something as personal as your artwork, pictures, journaling, etc., you become connected to, and are able to relate to, other people on a more intimate level. The internet is an amazing tool for this. And not only do you connect with others, but you connect more fully with yourself. As you write about and think about and study your own techniques and emotions, it is much easier to see where your ideas get their bearings, and eventually that leads to a whole new level of understanding of oneself. Alright, enough with the philosophy! On to the fun stuff!
My name is Kathryn. I'm blonde, blue eyed, rather tall at 5'10", curvy and damn proud of it(!!!), and still young at 18. I've been scrapbooking since I could remember, having watched my mother do it before I could, and I have absolutely fallen in love with it. Apparently the creative gene is in my DNA as well, as I've taken to just about every other art/hobby I've tried: scrapbooking, graphic design, photography, traditional arts, acting, singing, sewing, writing, sculpting...I love it all. Anything that gets me to look at my surroundings in new ways.
